I'd hit up all 50 states in a Mustang GT. No idea what order I'd do it in though, Probably would go along the top, down and to the bottom, then fill in the middle. I'd do it either solo, or with a close friend.

What's yours? Be as unrealistic as possible.

Other than that, I'd probably do the same thing. Except on a Hayabusa geared up for touring.

Take an FJ60 from Florida up to the U.P., then across the northern U.S. border states, then up to B.C. from Washington, then take B.C. in to Alaska, and then drive the Dalton Highway to Deadhorse.

First I really need to be able to post original stuff here.

SecondI would do something similar but without paved roads as much as possible. It would be in a Jeep Wrangler with a tow behind tent trailer and a spot to haul a WR250R or KLX250S. I would eat at small restaurants, no chains, and do my best to avoid large city areas. I would take my wife, a camera, and just go.

1. Route 66 in an old American cruiser from the 50's or 60's.

2. NY to Montana again, probably in a GM SUV

3. Trans-Canada Highway because I've never seen most of Canada, again probably something GM.

4. US 1 from Maine to Florida, in a Mustang convertible or a GM SUV.

after driving 14 hours and getting back the other night, I'd rather fly haha.

Just kidding, but this is really crazy. A BMW touring car (preferably an E92) blasting across the east coast, flying to the west coast, then a quick run through the middle trying to break the cross country record. Then I'd drive through Europe going from famous track to famous track, eventually making my way to Dubai or the emirates, spending a weekend living in the high life, street racing rich kids for their 911 turbos and exotics, and then flying back.

So odd how Lotus can build an increble car AND pretty much the biggest piece of junk i've seen in my 13 years all at the same time.

Elise, Exige, and Evora's engines are superb! It's everything else. Column locks, cheap body pieces, radios, CEM's, window regulators, door locks, weather seals, etc! Lotus will design an amazing item.... but they are not good at car building no matter how simple they are. Engineers in England do not build these cars, regular ass blokes do. And all using the cheapest sublet components. Elise and Exise are not to incredibly horrid. The powertrain is made of uranium or something because they will work forever. But those damn Evoras. Again, solid powertrain. .... but everything else fails so miserably.

They drive like a dream and I will forever stand by my statement as the best driving car you can purchase ever! My butt is well tuned as the ex front end specialist at my dealer. If only they carried that discipline to build quality

Start here in Kingston, travel west through Thunder Bay, all the way to the west coast, stopping to see the sights and visit family on the way. Then go south into the US down the west coast, ultimately ending up in California, and seeing the sights to be offered there. Then back east, through the southern states, the desert etc, maybe try and visit Bonneville, maybe even during speed week. Then north up the east coast doing what ever you do on the east coast, up back into Canada. Newfoundland is the final goal, and my good friend who lives there. Then back west to home sweet home.

Right now, I'm looking to do a road trip from Toronto or Ottawa out to the east coast, with the final destination being either St. John's, Newfoundland, or (if possible) go to St. Pierre et Miquelon. This'll hopefully be this August, depending if I can get wheels in time for it. Eventually I will go to the west coast, and at some point go up north.

I'm going to have to be semi-reasonable, because otherwise my answer would just be "every road in the world." So here are some I'm actually looking/hoping to accomplish:

In North America:

Lap of the U.S. (planning to actually do a western US lap in the spring)

Route 66

Tour of Nevada ghost towns

All 50 states

The Alcan 5000

Drive the Dalton Ice Road

Outside North America:

Peking to Paris

Mongol Rally

Drive the original Paris - Dakar route

Silk Road

Cross Botswana

Every European nation (may have to restrict that one to Western Europe)

Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi

Drive on Antarctica

Drive across the Outback

Trans-Siberia

The length of Japan

Across the Alps

Across the Andes

Most of the U.S. ones I'd choose my XT, because it's a great road trip car with plenty of room for gear (and I can sleep in it if need be). For the Alcan and the Dalton I'd go with a lifted Forester (if budgeted) or an overland-prepped Range Rover (unbudgeted).

I'd have to think about the others (I know Peking to Paris and Mongol Rally have specific rules), but the word "Bowler" keeps coming to mind.
